A cabin divider
Updated:
Up to this point, Burt's cabin and living space have been divided by a curtain. There are pros and cons to the curtain. The obvious pro being that a curtain can easily be opened to let light in and the obvious con being that it can let other things in, too. Like unwanted visitors.
I weighed my concerns, following my Spanish break-in, and opted for security over convenience, as I often do.
In with the divider. A large and fairly heavy plywood that covers most of the space between the side walls and offers many mounting options.
The divider in place, with cable channel and shelf support.
From the front, the divider gives almost a complete coverage of the cabin width, between the solid pillars of the van. The edges will later be covered with wood of an equal thickness.
