Following on from the original toilet cupboard, in mk3...

The toilet closet has been on my list to finish for quite a while, and this week, I finally got around to it. Since I was putting a new lid on the under-bed storage area, I decided to unify the two units with a single piece of wood and cut the appropriate doors for cupboard access afterwards.

First, I had to straighten that leg, which, from a previous build, was an inch too far forward.

The new lid looks a lot better than the previous one (a table leaf).

With space for a new tea cupboard (coming soon).

Nice to have a bit of tidiness. The dust buster makes the place a bit more respectable.

And a sheet of ply underneath, to recreate the cupboard for cleaning supplies.

The toilet fits nicely underneath the cupboard and the new cupboard is strong enough to sit on. When the bed is folded out, this cupboard forms the end of the mattress support, so it was important for it to be a good fit, to avoid ripping the mattress cover.
