Třeboň, CZ

Read Time: About 1 Minute

Somewhere near the Austrian border, I rediscovered a town I visited only briefly, and quite a while ago. This time, I made a point of seeing it, and I'm gald I did. This town is called Třeboň, and it's one pretty town. Surprisingly, there weren't so many tourists, and it seemed like almost all of them were concentrated on the one street that you will see on the internet when you search for this town. Sure, the center is beautiful and that's what a lot of people come to see, but I was parked up just one street away from the tourists and I didn't see a single group spill out beyond the castle arches into the beautiful parks that occupy a good portion of this town.

My spot for the day (until the following morning) set me back around €3, and for that, I was 20ft from a park entrance and a two minute walk from the castle grounds. Since you can find a thousand angles of the center online, I didn't take those photographs. What I took, instead, was a handful of trademark tilty snaps of the park and lake, which is about the same size as the town.

Since I'm not offering a guide, you have no right to complain that I took some sizeable liberties with the creative aspect, literally getting the lens itself into one of the shots. I like playing with optics, so you'll have to live with the jazzy effects.

Anyhoo, I thought you might enjoy these and if you're in Czech for a look about, I highly recommend this little town. Oh, but bring your own lunch, unless you like that paper-flavored crap that all chain restaurants are so good at. And if you don't eat the dead, trust me, there's nothing for you.

At one of the entrances to the first park.

There's a stream running through the park, and I liked precisely this part of it.

Some mechanical gizmo on the lake.

I obvo needed to investigate the gizmo further.

Some nice light and whatnot.
