Search Engines Are A Big Problem

Updated:
The Problem
Everything you search for on every default search engine of every browser is tracked and analyzed to the nth degree, recorded forever, and used in conjunction with a growing number of data mining tools you use every day. The resulting profile knows your life inside out and is searchable by the so-called "law enforcement community". If that doesn't upset you deeply, you haven't read it properly.
It's the 21st century, supposedly, and most people are more interested in stupid memes than important things like freedom. So, there you are, googling some irritating, self-important jerk like Elon, for your latest spazzy meme. It's gonna be a corker. But among your search results, a story that the establishment doesn't want you to see. And maybe you don't. But it's there, in your search results, and it's recorded. Congratulations; you've just been added to a list that isn't going to result in the delivery of a greeting card.
It's no longer a sci-fi nightmare to have your front door kicked in at 3am, by a gang of thugs calling themselves "police", and find yourself dragged into a van and beaten senseless, on your way to jail, because you posted your opinion about something on that CIA website, facebook. It happens all the time. And despite it being a blatant case of breaking and entry, kidnapping, assault, false imprisonment, terrorism, espionage and much more, you are probably not going to get any justice.
Why Is This Happening
That's an interesting question, isn't it? There are many reasons that tyranny is growing in your area of the world, like in every other area. The main one, though, is the assumption that someone else will do something about it. It's a false assumption, held by most people, and so far, it has brought us to this point. Where it will go next, if people like you continue to do nothing, is anyone's guess. But it's not going to be pretty.
There are those among us who do something about tyranny, of course, and I certainly don't want to tar them with the same brush as those who sit back, chill with Netflix, and pay no mind to the corporate dictatorships on their doorsteps, in favor or a short-lived and artificially blissful ignorance. There are real Heroes Among Men, trying damn hard to fight the oppression on behalf of everyone, but the advertising and propaganda are too obvious for most to notice.
The Solution
The problems are many, but the solution is simple. We only need to say no and stop allowing objectionable things to invade our lives. It's easier said than done, in some cases, and I'll grant you, not everyone is up for risking trouble of any kind, no matter how high the stakes. Most will have cushioned themselves with a plushy nest of excuses that exclude them from any form of responsibility to free themselves from the digital prison they are funding and helping to build;
"I've got kids."
"It doesn't really affect me."
"I heard someone got arrested for [insert extreme exaggeration with very little to do with the actual problem], so I can't do anything."
Etcetera.
But for the truly lazy among us, there are still things you can do. And if you're one of them, you'll love this, because you can do it on your favorite thing ever - the big tech tracking device you stare at incessantly, from dawn to dusk. Right there, in your browser.
I'm talking about your search engine, of course (you remember the title of the post, right?). You see, big tech (Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc.) love to fill their browsers and other software with spyware - software that tracks and records your usage and other information (physical location, device details, other apps running on the device, any data available for theft). Their search results are littered with spam - "fact checking" propaganda, corporate alternative truths and now, AI-generated nonsense, too.
So, surely, the easiest thing to do to get around that crap would be to use a different search engine. Well, yes. In this case, that is a pretty good solution. But then comes the question:
Where do I go from here?
Search engines you definitely don't want to use (usually enabled by default):
Bing
Baidu
Yahoo
Yandex
AOL
Ask
Alexa
Seznam
These are the big tech ones I was telling you about, just then.
As an avid "alternative" engine user, I would have recommended DuckDuckGo, which was, until today, my go-to. But I've been paying attention to my search results on DDG, and they have been getting poorer by the day, especially over the last couple of months. Filled with "fact check" results, I'm finding it hard to locate anything useful in search results, until at least page 5 of some searches, and usually at least page 2 or 3.
Try searching for anything the establishment doesn't want you to know, like "pureblood" or "government surveillance", and you'll be hard pressed to find a single result that hasn't come from the government or one of Bill Gates' companies. So, DDG is out.
On the same note, a few others are out, too.
What it leaves is a pretty piss poor collection of search engines, seemingly limited to...
...none of which gave me any mainstream media spin for "Anti ULEZ", "Pureblood", "Non-GMO", and a range of other topics that the deep state is desperate to censor. Sadly, they all give the number one spot to Wikipedia's "conspiracy theory" definition of "chemtrails", despite the recent laws banning them from some states in America. But I'm giving them all the benefit of the doubt on this one, as Wikipedia's search ranking is more likely a result of the amount of websites that link to and cite its pages than any of these search engines pushing it to the top for political reasons.
And, while there was one BBC result in one of those searches, it was way down at the bottom of the search and it was on its tod, as it should be.
I'll be keeping an eye on the results of my searches with all three, in case patterns start to show up.
Take A Simple Action
Try using one of these alternative searches, and if you like it, set it as your default search engine. It will help to make them more visible to others and reduce the total control of information that the big tech firms are working so hard for. This little step takes a few seconds and it actually makes a difference.
