A Local Sun

Updated:
I fell into a contemplative mindset somewhere around 2004, and it lasted about a decade.
During that time, I mainly shot images of what I considered to be overlooked beauty.
There was something timeless about things like chimneys and I could never explain what it was I was trying to express.
The years rolled forward like tape reels, replaying themes over and over, and occasionally catching something new. The dust and scratches of my stories, which pile up against the doorways, ever growing in size and retro appeal, add time and texture to the days that went by.
I became obsessed with rooftops for their unseen intricacy and endless variety, old shoes for their worn out lives, and anything that struck me as cinematic, moody or interesting.
So there's that.
Obsessed with rooftops and dark skies. It's not the moon, it's the sun.
