It's a couple of months since I started my Shaolin journey, and I now have a firm handle on the second form I learned - the interlinked boxing form. Today, my routine has grown, again. The journey gets longer, the farther you look, and that's quite an unexpected motivator. Oftentimes, I find that the knowledge of being at the beginning of an epic road makes it hard to take the first step. That might even be why I only started this journey, now. But somehow, as I tackle this new form, and find, not only, that there are a huge number of forms still ahead, but also that each one has many variations and interpretations, I find this exciting.

There's so much to learn.

Since I've seen a few versions of the small flood form, I discovered that the core movements exist in every version, but the way they are linked together appears to vary, depending on the teacher. And here is an excellent example of this form, performed by Shifu Shì Héng Yì, of the Shaolin Temple (Germany).

There is so much to learn.
