Torque Wrench
AKA: Safety Wrench, Limited Pressure Wrench
Always fully loosen your torque wrench after use, to avoid permanent damage to the internal spring. Do not use a torque wrench when a lever bar or ratchet is required. Always stop applying pressure as soon as the wrench clicks, otherwise you may permanently damage it.
A clever device designed to prevent over-tightening of important nuts and bolts, such as those that hold your wheels in position. By adjusting the wrench settings, you can specify the exact amount of pressure you need for a given job, and then start tightening. When the preset pressure is reached, the wrench disconnects inside, preventing any further pressure from being added.
Although not the cheapest tools, you should keep one of these in your tool box if you can. It could be very useful at times when changing wheels, or doing more complicated jobs that require a specific torque setting.
