Wire Strippers

WARNING:

The blades on this tool are extra fine and can cause great damage to fingers. Always operate carefully and slowly. Do not attempt to cut objects other than wire of a thickness the tool is designed to strip. Doing so may cause the blade to snap, leading to injury, especially of the eyes.

Information

This tool allows you to remove the outer plastic coating from a piece of wire. The various holes accommodate different wire thicknesses and some models include a flat section for cutting wire completely.

The tool has two sections. One side grips the wire and the other (shown in the picture) strips or cuts it.

To operate, place the wire between the flat gripping parts on one side, lined up with the appropriate hole for the wire's thickness, and lightly squeeze the handles together until the wire is properly gripped. Then carefully line up the end of the wire with the hole and squeeze the handles together the rest of the way. The blades will move together, cutting through the plastic coating but leaving the wires intact, then the two sections of the tool will separate, pulling the plastic coating off the end of the wire.

"Educational, Inspirational And Very Funny"

I've had the privilege of following Burtman.net, over the years, with all the exciting things it's been adding. I enjoy the stories while sipping endless cups of tea, as I've learned from Burtman. I love diving into his ridiculous scenarios and getting infected by his road trip religion. Everything's accessible and relatable (even technical stuff) and shows how making mistakes leads to learning. I'm inspired by that. I'm always left with a big smile on my face and I always want to return. - Natku
