Basic Battery Charger
AKA: Trickle Charger, Indoor Charger
This type of battery charger does not shut off automatically. Check it regularly and switch it off when your battery reaches the required charge level. This type of charger must be protected from moisture and sources of ignition when in use and during storage periods. Make sure your battery is compatible with the charger before attaching it. Overcharging can cause serious damage to your battery, and may pose an explosion risk.
A basic battery charger for 6v and 12v batteries.
To operate, connect the red clip to the positive battery terminal and the black clip to the negative, select the appropriate voltage (6 or 12) and the desired charging current (determined by checking the charger's manual and that of your battery).
Next, plug in the charger and check the needle on the gauge. If the battery is already full, turn the charger off. This type of charger does not maintain batteries and will over-charge if allowed to stay on when the battery is full.
