In recent weeks, the synthwave scene has been creeping in around the doorjambs and windows of Burtman HQ, and a taste for neon strip lights and teak laminate might not be far behind.

This was never my scene, and yet, I can't seem to stop it sinking in right now.
These heavy synth pads, arpeggiators, 808s and washing machine samples are just too good.

Look. All I'm saying is, even if it's not your usual jam, it's your jam now.
You need to get these in your ears right now.

I've had the privilege of following Burtman.net, over the years, with all the exciting things it's been adding. I enjoy the stories while sipping endless cups of tea, as I've learned from Burtman. I love diving into his ridiculous scenarios and getting infected by his road trip religion. Everything's accessible and relatable (even technical stuff) and shows how making mistakes leads to learning. I'm inspired by that.
