Listen up, suckers. The rules have changed.

This website is intended to be a valuable, if sarcastic, van-life resource. As such, there are a few important rules about how it should be run, and we'd appreciate you taking a moment to familiarize yourself with them.

Firstly, this site is not into censorship, because it's not run by a bunch of commies, so I hope you will help me to keep it free of negativity without the need for my minions of doom helpers to interfere. Content that violates the following guidelines may be modified or removed by an enforcer a member of the moderation team, in order to keep the content here top notch.

"Family Friendly" is gone.

While I don't encourage pointless obscenity, the need to keep little Timmy's mumsie smiling is out with the dish water. I think self-censorship is a big part of today's snowflake culture, and frankly, it can die and rot in the corner. I'm done with it. There's nothing wrong with a bit of spicy language, and besides, the things I've heard from kids, today, would make your gran's teeth fall out.

The Zero Spam Rule

This internet of ours is saturated with useless, time-wasting spam and worse. Well, I won't stand for it. Not here.

Posting spam or attempting to deceive people in any way will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the site, as well as the total loss of subscriber content. There will be no additional warning (this is your first one) and there will be no compensation. This applies to everyone, including partners and monthly supporters. That's how serious this rule is. Swearing, fine. Spamming, not fine. Got it?

If you aren't intelligent enough to determine whether or not you are a spammer, here's a quick cheat sheet:

Being a whiny bitch

Needless bickering, name calling and the like is spam. If it irritates people, it's gone. If it happens a lot, so are you.

Being an internet tough guy

While pointing out someone's flawed logic or incorrect assumptions, especially mine, is totally welcome, picking on people for personal reasons is bullshit (and thus, spam). If you like to start trouble with people, because you have no real-life friends and spend too much time watching dirty videos, this is just one more website you're going to get thrown out of. Keyboard warriors aren't welcome.

Being a snowflake

If you enjoy being offended by everything, or look for ways to be offended on behalf of other people you don't even know, you're a snowflake. There's a special place for people like you, and it's called facebook. There, you can wave flags, be offended, report people for not putting up with your shit, and identify as anything you like. They've even got an anonymous tattling service, where you can have people stripped of their right to free speech for not being supportive of your tantrums. You'll have a lot of fun on facebook.

Being a pointless commenter

If you like to comment a lot, but you don't actually have anything useful to say, you're a spammer. People who make comments that have nothing to do with the article they didn't bother to read are like those floaty types with no personality, who appreciate shite like this:

Other ways to get banned include...

* Sales links, except where actually relevant.
* Sales links, when people have already expressed disinterest.
* Sales links for products nobody cares about.
* Sales links, regarding dodgy shit like crypto, asset management, and other unqualified financial scams.
* Sales links that are not clearly identified as such, especially when it's obvious to anyone with two brain cells to rub together, that the entire comment is really just a set up for the sales link you just casually remembered about.

And worst of all...

* Sales links.

Look. Just don't be a jerk.

That's it.

I hope you enjoy this site and make good use of the information and discussions you have here.
