Somewhere between here and there, I came across a village called Mračnice. It's about a hundred meters long and it's beautiful. I spent the day here and wasn't in a rush to leave. The heat meant a handful of short walks between shaded areas, rather than long walks in the forest, but you take what you can get.

After a few hours, the heat relented enough to move, and, driven by an endless curiosity about the next corner and the one after that, we took off to investigate. So far, I've seen more than fifty villages on this journey around the country, and this is one of a handful that will stay with me.
