Read Time: About 2 Minutes

A few days ago, I decided to head back to Prague for a much anticipated face-stuffing tour of my favorite restaurants. It was a spontaneous decision that took me a good way across the country, but I was hungry and I wanted something specific.
With nowhere else to be, I pointed Burt towards the city and stepped on the gas.

When I arrived, I was tired and it was late. I slipped into my number one joint and sat down. We'd been walking a lot and it'd been hot. Byron slumped down at my feet, then changed his mind and climbed up onto my lap to fall asleep in more comfort.
The staff swooned at his sweetness, and I ordered my usual fare.

After dinner, we walked a little more, around the old neighborhood I used to live in. It was strange to be there again, after leaving the city more than two years ago. It kind of bummed me out, what with all the ghosts and all. But walkies always take priority, and in a place so loaded with dogs, walkies are an involved affair. There's much to sniff and plenty of encounters to navigate.

When we finally came back to Burt, I was ready to sleep, but if you know any city, you know Prague, when it comes to parking. Nothing's free, anymore, and there are very few spaces to call home. We had to head out of town. Being tired, I managed to get lost in a city I've known for many years, and the journey out of town took about an hour. That is, until I found a free space with no meter. I pulled in and set up my kitchen for one last cup of tea before bed.

When morning came, I discovered a lake, just behind a row of trees, and a park, too. It was an unexpectedly beautiful area I'd stumbled upon, and I had no idea where it was or what it was called. Not that any of that is important. We walked around the lake a few times, spending several hours taking in the nature and the sunlight. Through the park, where we discovered an overflow valley with a pretty dam. And there was more, too. A strange structure of a yawning cat that doubles as a children's slide. And an area that kind of looks like a school, but I don't think it is. Sometimes, I don't investigate, because the probable outcome just isn't as exciting as not knowing.

After a few days of living in this scene, we left to find another spot. That's when I found out we were still in Prague. Not only that, but barely fifteen minutes from the center. That's how it goes when you're tired.

Far from a remote village, although it feels like one, we had found Prague 9.

A local.

A yawning cat with a slightly creepy vibe.

A bit of water movement always excites.

So that was this week in a nutshell.
