Awoken by birds tap dancing on my roof, and a light covering of rain, the day started as peacefully as one could hope. The wind in the trees, the lake and the birdsong, all approved Burtman waking sounds.

Loud clunking, not so much. What fell on my roof, hard enough to warrant investigation, was a cluster of multi-cultural acorns. I forgave them their trespass, since they were as pretty as my baby pictures, but in exchange, a snap for the Burtsters.

With summer done, her fruits fall and all the van types scurry for cosiness.
