It's That Time Again

My hair and clothes yearn to smell of diesel and my eyes ache for roads beyond these borders.
The sun's considering poking his head around the door, and Burtdad's already been on a jolly, so it's time to start preparing Burt for the next trip.

I have a destination, this time; a place I haven't seen much of, since wanderlust kicked in, and it's a good three-to-four days from here, so I need to do some prep. Besides having a poke around in the engine bay, to make sure things are still ticking over nicely, I've got a few rush updates to make to the interior, and I'll need to demilitarize the area, too. Some places are so fickle.

Pre-Trip Checks

Before I start documenting my adventure, I've made sure to do some fitness checks. If you're about to take a trip, I suggest you do them, too.

Check out my article, Check Your Levels, to see what you should be checking, so you can make sure that your wagon is good to go (so you don't fine out otherwise, when you're a long way from home).

The Adventure Begins...

This time, I'm not taking my sweet time, drifting from one place to another, picking up little stories and pictures along the way. This time, I've made a bee-line to Dunkerque, where I'll catch a ferry to England, and that's where my adventure will really begin. As I pick up adventures, I'll be making a start on Stories From The Road - Season Three, and by the time I return, I expect it to be fairly chunky and packed with laughs...

...And All Too Soon...

My trip is nearing its end, but it's been a good one; stories are on the way in the next few days, I've fixed some van problems, and I've been to some of England's most iconic seaside locations, including Great Yarmouth and Weston Super-Mare. What more could a lad dream of? There's only one thing left to do, and that's to say goodbye to this crazy island and the people I love here, and head back to my real life.

...It's Over.

I've finally landed home at the Burt-Cave and gotten back into my groove, which means I'm starting to upload the stories and pics from this trip. But the first thing I wanted to get out of the way was a pretty serious repair I had to undertake, while out in the land of Albion; Check out my newly-acquired welding skills, as I tackle Holes In The Floor, and find out what I got up to in Stories From The Road - Season Three (new stories are being published daily).

With thanks to the Burtsters, for all the laughs, I hang up my keys and head for the kitchen to raid the cupboards.
