If you've been following my Adventures In Foreign Tongues, you already know I've been using a paintbrush to draw Chinese symbols, as part of my Mandarin studies. Well, this week, I've been given yet another artsy gift that I already fell in love with. It's a dipping pen - kind of like a fountain pen, but the ink isn't in a cartridge, it's in a pot, so you have to keep dipping it, just like a paintbrush.

Just when I thought I was as retro as I could be.

Nice, huh?

Why not start with a song lyric?

Genuine quotes.

Obviously, it's a work in progress, and this is day one, so you can't really expect good results, but I'm looking forward to getting good at this.

Who knew scribbling crap on paper was so much fun?

"Educational, Inspirational And Very Funny"

I've had the privilege of following Burtman.net, over the years, with all the exciting things it's been adding. I enjoy the stories while sipping endless cups of tea, as I've learned from Burtman. I love diving into his ridiculous scenarios and getting infected by his road trip religion. Everything's accessible and relatable (even technical stuff) and shows how making mistakes leads to learning. I'm inspired by that. I'm always left with a big smile on my face and I always want to return. - Natku
