If you've been redirected here, it's because the link you followed is no longer active.
Most likely, the feature you were looking for has been changed in some way. Info below.

Guest author interface

I am going to update this quite soon. I will be adding a version of markdown, so authors can write html-free posts. I have considered WYSIWYG, but I don't think it's worth the effort, since we only have a few writers, and nobody ever complained. I work on a complaints basis. Squeaky wheel theory. You get the idea.

Build History

The public change log was removed in build 101, as the feature served only a handful of requests per day. Nobody gives a shit, in other words.

User Account / Profile

Some of the user account data has been moved to the profile model. All it means for you is that you can change your profile information from the 'Edit Profile' link instead of from 'My Account'. You can reach active profiles at burtman.net/profilename, so if you want to use your profile link in a blog or something, it would now look like this: https://burtman.net/Burtman.

Trip Log / Maps

This feature is currently unavailable, and may be removed in a future update.

Projects

This section is still available, but you won't see it unless you sign into your free account. This is because Burtman felt that the large area of content was diluting the overall purpose of the site. Guests now only see van articles and travel-related blogs. Everything else appears under the "Projects" link on the main menu, which you will see after signing in.

Podcasts

They're not dead, they're just taking a bit of rest. Burtman's not working on that part of the project, at the moment, so I'm not doing any work on it, either. Apparently, there is an update on the way, but we hear these things... In the near future, if any content does actually show up, I might add the seasons and local search features. We'll see.

Automatic Group Assignment Is Out

Burtman keeps changing his mind about his business model, somehow expecting it to be easy to just change things up. In reality, it's quite a drag. So I've disabled AGA, but I won't delete it, in case he asks me to build it back in again. I wish it was funny. At this moment, group assignment is available as an admin function, or as a result of triggering an activation phrase (woohoo).
