Read Time: About 1 Minute

Another year is behind us and another lays ahead. It's the time when we slow down and take stock of what we've done with our lives, how we've grown, what we've let go of, and where we want to take ourselves in the coming year.

You knew that, of course, but it seemed like a good way to start the post. And now that you're reading it, I'd like to take this completely unexpected opportunity to wish some excellent things for you...

Firstly, I hope that you're warm and happy, as the cold weather really starts to bite (or, you know, the opposite, if you live somewhere that's getting warmer). I don't want to be exclusive, but for the sake of keeping this post from becoming too confusing, I'm going to assume that everyone lives in my climate. That's fair, no? Great.

I hope you're fully enjoying the warmth of a log fire or similar heating apparatus, and you've managed to surround yourself with kind, happy and caring individuals, who want to share nice things with you and include you in their celebrations. :)

As the new year comes around, it's my honest wish that you find some great new things to bring into your life. Maybe some new music or people or even a new country. Perhaps you will discover a really nice chocolate and become fat and ill. Well, if that's what you want, I'm not judging. Enjoy that.

And finally, I really hope that you and the people you care about are happy and fulfilled, not living for Friday nights and working in cubicles, factories and warehouses, where the sun never shines and there's some jerk who's fifteen years younger than them, bossing them about and making them feel like turd. Specifically, let him not be from Essex. I'd rather that everyone was having a nice time and doing what they like to do.

If you're reading this, you might well be a van-life enthusiast, like me, in which case, I hope you finally figure out how to work the toilet into your build without having to resort to living near the woods on a more-or-less full-time basis, and I hope you fix that leak, because it's going to go rusty and cause mold. And pump up your tires, man, seriously.

Happy Christmas & new year to all (other religious variations are available - insert as necessary and move to an appropriate date)!

The end.
