A thick paste designed to seal joints between engine components. Gasket sealant is designed to tolerate high temperatures such as those created around the combustion chamber and exhaust system. If applied correctly, it will prevent gas and liquid leaks at the joints between, for example, the water pump and the engine block.

This type of gasket sealant requires a Caulk Gun. Some versions are available in tubes that you can squeeze by hand.

To use on, just apply a layer to the contact surfaces that will be sealed together and carefully fit the part. Bolt down evenly and torque to the correct pressure with your Torque Wrench.
