Claw Hammer
AKA: Cockney Spanner
WARNING:
When removing strong, thick, rusty or bent nails with the claw, be careful to keep hands clear of the area, as the hammer can slip suddenly, or lose grip on the nail. It is also possible for the head of the nail to detach under pulling pressure. In all cases, the hammer can fly at you with some force.
A claw hammer has an impact head (usually flat or nearly flat) on one side and a V-shaped "claw" on the other. The claw is used to pull nails out of wood and other materials by placing the V around the head of the nail and using the shape of the hammer for leverage. Just roll the hammer back until the head of the nail comes out.
