WARNING:
Always use hand, ear, eye and breathing protection when operating sanding discs, as their high speed can cause serious injuries and large amounts of dust. Never attach a disc of the wrong size, or with any visible or suspected damage to a power tool.
A disc for heavy sanding of various materials, for attachment to an angle grinder.
Like sand paper, flap discs are available in a variety of grits - low grit numbers like 40 or 80 are for coarse work, such as removal of thick rust from steel surfaces, while higher grits around 300 are better suited to shaping wood, while higher still, especially above 800 are good for creating a soft finish or for removal of stains and light rust without damaging material surfaces.
